Truck & Container Shipment - Shenandoah Hardwood Lumber’s location in Buena Vista, Virginia offers close proximity to major interstate highway systems - we are 3 miles (5 km) from I-81 (North/South) and 4 miles (7 km) from I-64 (East/West).
Container Shipment - The major shipping ports in Hampton Roads (Norfolk International Terminal, Portsmouth Marine Terminal and Newport News Marine Terminal) are just 235 miles (400 km) east from our mill and the Virginia Inland Port at Front Royal, Virginia is 130 miles (215 km) to the north.
Rail Shipment - Our mill has a siding on the Norfolk-Southern railroad offering service to to the Eastern Seaboard and Midwest. A one-line haul to Memphis or Chicago can connect to the Union Pacific Railroad with service to the Southwest and West Coast.
Shenandoah Hardwoods operates it own fleet of trucks for log and lumber shipments including a 50’ rollback trailer offering the potential of next day delivery to much of the East Coast and Midwest.
